Maricopa to host CPR, workplace-safety workshop

Maricopa, Ariz. — A CPR and workplace-safety workshop is set for March 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Maricopa Library and Cultural Center, 18160 N. Maya Angelou Dr., Maricopa, AZ 85138. The session will cover practical insights on CPR and emergency readiness, workers’ compensation, and building a strong workplace safety culture.

Speakers will be Bill Robertson, retired fire chief; Chris Cahall, American Family Insurance; and Kelly Anderson, workplace safety professional.

Registration is in the comments. The event is presented by the Greater Maricopa Business Alliance Chamber of Commerce, serving Western Pinal County.

Missing 15-year-old Jeremiah Camacho sought in Maricopa

Maricopa Police Department is seeking the public’s help locating 15-year-old Jeremiah Camacho, who was last seen March 7 at his home in The Villages after leaving on his own, with authorities now believing he has been staying in Casa Grande but could return to the Maricopa area at any time; he is about 5'5" tall and 135 pounds, with an afro hairstyle, and was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants, and anyone with information should call MPD’s non-emergency line at (520) 568-3673.
