Phoenix event honors Trooper Hunter Bennett and Pilot Robert Skankey
Today at AZDPS HQ in Phoenix, more than 1,000 people gathered in a powerful show of support and remembrance for Trooper/Paramedic Hunter Bennett and Pilot Robert Skankey.
Organized by FOP Grand Canyon State Lodge 32 and the Arizona State Troopers Association, the event brought together colleagues, friends, and supporters from across the state to honor their service and stand with their families.
Additional BBQ fundraising events will take place in Flagstaff, Tucson, and Kingman as communities across AZ continue to come together in support of our fallen heroes. More info is available at the link in the comments.

Patagonia man arrested in fatal SR 77 incident in Tucson
A 52-year-old Patagonia man was arrested March 9, 2026, on a charge of failure to stop at the scene of an accident involving death in connection with a September 2025 fatality on SR 77 near Golder Ranch Road after detectives say the victim was riding in the bed of the pickup and Crawford did not stop or report the crash.
