Tucson JCC Announces Exciting Community Events

The Tucson Jewish Community Center (Tucson JCC) has announced a lineup of upcoming events and programs for the community.
For young children ages 3-5, the PeeWee Sports program offers activities such as T-ball, tennis, gymnastics, soccer, hip-hop, and basketball.
Youth Flag Football Clinics for kids aged 6-13 will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM.
On November 24, the Arizona Balalaika Orchestra will perform a concert.
From December 1 to December 15, December Youth Basketball Clinics for ages 3 to 11 will be held.
The Annual Hanukkah Hot Cocoa Run is scheduled for December 8, featuring a timed 5k and 1-mile race, as well as a free untimed 1k run for participants of all ages and abilities. A Double Chocolate 5k/1m combo option will also be available.
The Women's Book Club will meet on December 11 to discuss the book "Table for Two" by Amor Towles.
On December 18, a workshop to create Hanukkah votives using fused glass will take place in collaboration with Sonoran Glass School.
Additionally, the 34th Annual Tucson J International Film Festival is scheduled for January 8-19.

Patagonia man arrested in fatal SR 77 incident in Tucson
A 52-year-old Patagonia man was arrested March 9, 2026, on a charge of failure to stop at the scene of an accident involving death in connection with a September 2025 fatality on SR 77 near Golder Ranch Road after detectives say the victim was riding in the bed of the pickup and Crawford did not stop or report the crash.
